Docking: The guest dock in Tromsø is a floating dock. There is a sauna at the end of the dock. However, there is no service building for visiting sailors.

Approach and maritime conditions: It is possible to moor alongside a floating dock directly east of the shipyard and right outside the hotel as shown in the picture. Both locations have power, but only the floating dock outside the hotel has water. The hotel also offers diesel and gasoline refueling. By the ferry dock, there is a red building with a toilet, shower, and washer/dryer.
There is some surge from commercial traffic in the strait. Strong current in the strait.
The area: Nice hiking area. See ut.no.

Nice bay, exciting trip ashore to see the remains of the Galten trading post.
We moored further inside the bay than what is shown in the picture here.

The floating dock marked in the picture is full of rental boats. We received a tip to stay a bit further in on the opposite side on a floating dock where they said sailboats usually lie! See picture!
Nice trip to Fuglen. Small grocery store. Pub with a view of the bay where it is possible to anchor.

Entrance and maritime conditions: On the south side of the island. Easy entrance. Sheltered from northern and western winds.
Anchoring: Anchoring depth 7.5m. Good sandy bottom. Keep clear of underwater cables and rocks near the shore.
The area: Abandoned community. Houses used as summer residences.

Approach and maritime conditions: Easy approach between several breakwaters.
Docking: Guest spots are at the outer end of the floating pier on the port side. Contact the harbor at 480 53 045 for possible assignment of a berth. Diesel filling on a dedicated floating pier nearby. Water available upon request.
Area: Café Havblikk has shower and laundry facilities.

Mooring: There is a large guest pier in the first part of the harbour, right below the elementary school. It is also possible to moor at the outermost part of the boat association pier; check with contacts as posted. The boat association is located in the innermost harbour basin. Both are floating piers.
The area: Some tours are described on UT.no. Check with Nordkyn Vekst for access to shower and laundry facilities.

There is no designated guest spot in Vadsø as far as we found out. But there was an available spot at the end of the first floating dock after passing the breakwater.

Approach and maritime conditions: Easy approach. The floating dock is exposed to swells. Water can be filled at the quay a little further inside the harbor. Diesel and water can be filled at Bunker oil northwest in the bay.
If the guest dock is occupied, it is possible to moor at the floating dock for fishing boats further inside the harbor basin.
